Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at a screw pin shackle. This shackle serves as a connection point for two pieces of rigging equipment. It works as a gathering point for slings and overhead lifting applications, and it's great for industrial and agricultural applications. Also, it's used frequently for off-road applications when it comes to connecting ropes, straps, and chains. We're looking at a galvanized alloy steel construction. It's very strong and durable, and it provides enhanced strength and corrosion resistance. The screw pin allows for quick connection and disconnection.
Now, the pin diameter at the thickest point is about 13/16 to 7/8 of an inch in diameter. The actual shackle engraved right here, states that it's a 3/4 inch shackle. The working load limit is 9,500 pounds. I did take a measurement of the usable space, so I measured inside edge to inside edge. Got a measurement of 1 7/8 from the top of the pin to the bottom of this point here, so this space is 2 3/4 inches, and the opening right here where the pin is, inside edge to inside edge, is about 1 3/16 of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the screw pin shackle..
